Washington County Commission Meeting Minutes – 5/14/18

The Board of Washington County Commission met in regular session on Monday May 14, 2018 in the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Members present were Tim Mueller, 1st District Commissioner, David Willbrant, 2nd District Commissioner, Gary Ouellette, 3rd District Commissioner, and Diana Svanda, County Clerk to record minutes, Cynthia Scheer, Washington County News was also present.

The board began the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Anita Bott, Matt Meyer, Diane Hendricks, Robin Cole, Mary Tate – Pawnee Mental Health Board presented their 2019 Budget request, also discussed the services that they provide as well as goals they have for the New Year, one of the new projects they will work on is the Crisis stabilization program, Robin has applied for Grants to help with this. The board ask the commissioners to consider a 3% increase in there budget.

Tiffany Hayman, County Health Director – Submitted budget request for 2019, also submitted travel vouchers, and let the commissioners no that the Medicare Audit has been done, when she receives it in writing she will submit a copy to the County Clerk’s Office.

David Willbrant made the motion to allow Don Alldredge to shoot off fireworks at the Rodeo arena, Tim Mueller seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried. After more discussion David Willbrant amended the motion to read upon Fair Board approval, the County is ok with the fireworks display, Tim Mueller seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried.

Denae Jueneman, County Treasurer – submitted a pledge agreement form for the FNB.

Two bids were submitted for Washington County Commercial Data Collection, Tim Mueller made the motion to go with Equitable Solutions, David Willbrant seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried.

Arlene Hiesterman, Historical Museum – submitted their 2019 budget request, and informed the commissioners that the historical jail is completed.

Elizabeth Hiltgen, County Attorney, Bev Finlayson, Deputy Appraiser, Kathy Fritz, Deputy Clerk joined the meeting to discussed the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan, Notice of public hearing will be Tuesday May 29 at 9:00 A.M. in the County Commissioners room.

At 11:10 A.M. Tim Mueller made the motion to adjourn, David Willbrant seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried.

The next regular commission meeting will be on Monday May 21, 2018.
